Freedom…

Images2

Stuck stuck stuck…. ‘Til its ugly end!
Roll over or bend…. Mend and rend
The bare flesh of man.

Unholy sighting…. The caw-caws then
Wending through the glen
Slave for that span.

A hole in the ground… Make it deep
To lay the dead…. To bury asleep
Least to do, to dignify the clan.

Shreds of humanity explode, rain
With blood, gore and the bygone chains.
Born caged, freed in death!

At The End Of The Road…

image

Tired old husk,
A solemn soft dusk,
The closing of a chapter
At the end of a laughter.

The ceasing of the tide,
The last joy ride.
A life lived enough
X times easy, x times tough.

Some actions good and bad,
Of moments dark and sad.
One last fallacy
A yearning for normalcy.

A lingering trace of presence,
An affirmation of existence,
The comfort of a loving hug,
On the heartstrings, an insistent tug.

A leaf pressed between the pages,
A memory mellowed with ages,
A smile, a step, a hushed silence,
A last glance lit up with radiance.

Inner Storm…

storm

A maelstrom inside,
Buffeted on all sides,
By the violent currents,
In this body reside.

Churning ocean waves,
Lift and drown,
Slippery ground,
No foothold around.

Run and slide,
Down the steep slope,
Descend in the mire,
Emotions on fire!

Try I do,
To find the eye
Of the cyclone ,
Trapped in my mind.

A most turbulent night,
A hazy respite in sight,
New dawn I welcome,
Sweet promise of yet another night to come…

On The Road of Life…

image

The road goes on,
You travel along,
Run, walk and crawl
The miles with a song.

The road is bright,
The road is dark,
With bumps in it
Or smooth stretches to park.

You carry on
In its twisted paths,
Shadows and lights
In the aftermath.

The road has views,
Exhilarating, dreary,
Soulful, uplifting,
Some vistas scary.

You pass them by,
Your entire being alive.
The endless evergreen,
So pure, so naive.

You pass them by,
So wretched, so conflicted!
The dull, dry lands
All lonely, desolated!

Or you pass them by,
Indifferent to the sight,
Whatever may come across,
In the day or at night.

The end of road,
You see the light,
You either cross over
Or didn’t travel right!
