On The Road of Life…

image

The road goes on,
You travel along,
Run, walk and crawl
The miles with a song.

The road is bright,
The road is dark,
With bumps in it
Or smooth stretches to park.

You carry on
In its twisted paths,
Shadows and lights
In the aftermath.

The road has views,
Exhilarating, dreary,
Soulful, uplifting,
Some vistas scary.

You pass them by,
Your entire being alive.
The endless evergreen,
So pure, so naive.

You pass them by,
So wretched, so conflicted!
The dull, dry lands
All lonely, desolated!

Or you pass them by,
Indifferent to the sight,
Whatever may come across,
In the day or at night.

The end of road,
You see the light,
You either cross over
Or didn’t travel right!
